Challenges

When Oilweb founders contacted us, they already had the first working version of the website and two apps. However, the processes were disjointed, the applications were unstable, and the website design was difficult to call UI/UX thoughtful and trustworthy. There was practically no demand, and as a result, no offer from suppliers.

More than 15 New Features

Including solutions that are unusual for a typical marketplace:
– Escrow integration for secure payments;
– The ability to split bulk orders into parts for delivery to different places and dates. Adding this feature required a revision of the entire business logic of the orders section. This task turned out to be the most challenging but gripping because of its originality.

Banking System Integration

One bank is for acquiring, and another four are for lending options. To save time, consumers are able to send an application to multiple banks at once.

Logistics Integration

Previously, Oilweb managers were only able to do all logistics work manually. Now a transportation request is created and sent automatically to several logistics companies at once, which adds to the efficiency. The cargo will be picked up by the company whose conditions meet the order requirements. Oilweb users track cargo movement using GPS.

Big Data Integration (EAI)

For websites to become a full-fledged B2B marketplace, connecting a website with external systems is not enough; Big Data integration is also necessary. The main thing about Big Data is the fact that data comes in a non-structured form, which makes consolidation difficult and security issues possible. We have built and integrated systems into Oilweb in such a way that now all independent elements work as a single unit with the highest possible security level.

Website Rework

Not only did we give the Oilweb website an attractive look, but we also endowed it with business value. The website speaks commercial language. The users spend their time solving business problems rather than mastering complex navigation. Moreover, website improvements have also affected its position in search results—now it gets many more visitors than before.

Speeding Up the App by 75%

We replaced the technology stack with a modern one and optimized SQL queries. The decision was of strategic importance: Oilweb now serves more users without any additional workload.

Platform Administrating Service

It was necessary to take into account the administrative side, intended for managers of the B2B platform. This is something that is not visible to users, but no operation could be executed without an administrator's eye.
